Jason Stevens

Jason began practicing in Charleston in May of 2010 with a major insurance defense firm with offices located in Atlanta, Charlotte and Charleston where Jason was the primary attorney for the State of South Carolina. During his tenure, Jason successfully defended various national insurance companies in car wreck cases, catastrophic truck wreck cases, premises liability and construction defect cases. In addition to defending insurance companies, Jason assisted clients in general business litigation including contract disputes, employment contracts, non-compete/nondisclosure and indemnity agreements as well as assisting clients in forming various business entities including drafting and negotiating the necessary documents related to the formation or merger of the entity or entities.

Shortly after leaving the firm, Jason opened up his current firm where he worked simultaneously as a subcontractor for another well-respected local insurance defense firm, defending against similar types of cases, while beginning to utilize his knowledge of defending against insurance companies to assist plaintiffs in obtaining positive results in their personal injury cases. Since opening his firm in 2013, Jason has handled a variety of different plaintiffs cases ranging from fraud, car accident, assault, first party bad faith against insurance companies and complex construction defect litigation.

During this time, Jason also began taking on family law cases under the tutelage of a prominent Charleston family law attorney with over thirty-five years of experience. Jason has experience in all areas of domestic law and trial experience including complex custody cases, equitable division of familial assets and divorce.

Since 2013, Jason has undergone continuous training from a former nationally recognized top DUI officer, in the art of defending against a DUI. In 2013, Jason was certified as a Founding Member of the American Association of Premier DUI attorneys which is the primary focus of his law practice today. Jason is married to a local family law attorney and lives in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.
